Grateful Dread Media has operated as a nonprofit community service sole proprietorship since 1996. We are not a government-recognized nonprofit -- contributions are not tax deductible at this time -- but will work for this recognition once we can raise the fees; right now any money that comes in goes directly into our numerous projects.)
Our collection of loyal readers, listeners, sponsors, and clients has grown steadily over the years and continues to do so. This has enabled us to accomplish more and to have a tangible impact upon the communities we serve. GDM welcomes new partners in do-gooding with love, gratitude, and respect. Please inquire today about how you can become a cherished part of the GDM family.

She is the sole proprietor of nonprofit grassroots community service and media firm Grateful Dread Media; whose offerings include multigenre news/talk Internet public radio station Grateful Dread Public Radio, progressive news blog All Facts and Opinion, and the virtual reality Goldman Mill Peace Project. Davis is the founder of the still-vibrant and necessary Armchair Activist effort and oversees the Baltimore Activists Coalition, which she co-founded with activist David M. Baker in 2000. A proud alum of both the University of Maryland and Towson State University, Davis has been hard at work using media to make a positive difference in the world since 1979. Married and the mother of two, she splits her time between Baltimore and New York City.
